Description
I am inspired by my own life story from birth until age 51, which I illustrate by extracting scenarios of my life journey from my curriculum vitae and transcribing them into a manuscript. The book is not exactly about me, but about life phenomena that I have experienced, hardships I have encountered, victories I have enjoyed, general political landscapes I have lived in, study opportunities I have had and the number of times of failure.
The book later probes my religious upbringing, political exposure, leadership growth, commerce and economic encounters, my knowledge of human evolution, and forms of oppression by Western nations on African nations. I’m sure all people or rather all authors write in order to set something straight or demystify myths about certain practices, rituals, paradigms or theories which are held dear by others, whether for the right or wrong reasons, depending on their position.
It is also about passes and work environments that I endured, all from birth until now. I did live and still do live a life full of contradictions, which has added to the desire of my consciousness to write this book in the form of a biography. I was fascinated by my life on the farm, which became the farm I participated in claiming ownership of for the family.
Life on the farm was characterised by confrontations over the disparities of racial segregation, which made me to want to know ‘why?’. I am the last born in a huge African family of 15 children – five from my father’s side and 10 from mother’s side. My father had a school and church in his yard and he served in World War I. Later on he a became traditional healer and lastly a church leader for the Apostolic Faith Mission.
