Shipping Policy
Shipment Processing Time
Orders over March to September (off-season) depending on complexity and stock levels can be processed same day but generally 2-3 business days.
Orders over October to February (back-to-school) tend to be more complex and may take some weeks to process. Backordered titles may force us to use 2-3 shipments to complete your order.
Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery.
While we staff up for back-to-school service levels will be under pressure over the 2-3 weeks around the start of school.
Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
- Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
- Shipping is calculated at roughly R20/kg with a minimum shipping fee of R115 with free shipping controlled by vouchers given to the relevant schools.
- We contract a next day shipping service in the Cape Town Metro.
- Shipping times generally range from 2 to 5 days within South Africa.
Damages
- If your order was damaged on receipt, please contact info@caxtonbooks.co.za within 5 days after receipt of the shipment. Please include pictures of the damaged goods and damaged packaging.
- Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.
